(Juneau) Dodge County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Sciascia announced Thursday that he will be seeking re-election. Sciascia has held the position of Branch III judge since 2013. He has been overseeing the Dodge County Drug Court this year and has served as presiding judge of Impaired Driving Court since 2016. Sciascia says his goal as presiding judge of the drug court is to make sure that the people of Dodge County receive at least one dollar of service for each dollars spent in supporting this program.
Before being elected, Sciascia was an attorney in private practice since 1978 in Juneau and had been the Dodge County Family Court Commissioner for 28 years. In addition to serving as the city of Juneau attorney and the Iron Ridge village attorney, he was also appointed special prosecutor for the cities of Beaver Dam, Waupun, Horicon as well as Dodge County. Sciascia is past president of Immaculate Conception and St. Malachy Catholic Churches and served as the Dodgeland High School Mock Trial Coach for 20 years. The spring election will be held on April 2.
