Sauk City Mother, Daughter Arraigned For Smuggling Tobacco Into Fox Lake Correctional

(Fox Lake) A Sauk City woman entered a not guilty plea at arraignment Wednesday to charges that she smuggled chewing tobacco into the Fox Lake Correctional Institution. 27-year-old Caitlin Ludemann is charged with felony Delivering Illegal Articles to an Inmate, along with her mother 56-year-old Roxanne Ludemann of Sauk City who entered a not guilty plea at arraignment last week. The two were caught allegedly placing the contraband inside a bag of potato chips in August during a visit. Authorities reportedly recorded a phone conversation with the inmate discussing the smuggling operation. If convicted, the charge carries a maximum three-and-a-half year prison sentence.
