Ryan Meets With Foxcomm, Makes Pitch For Wisconsin Plant

7/8/17 – House Speaker Paul Ryan of Janesville says he met with officials from Foxcomm, to make a pitch to put their planned technology plant in southeast Wisconsin. Ryan disclosed his meeting during a news conference in Madison, where he accepted a Boy Scout award Friday. Foxcomm of Taiwan is reportedly looking at Wisconsin or Michigan for its new mega factory, but the firm has not said anything about the project. Ryan also said he’s undecided on what he would do if the Senate cannot agree to an Obamacare replacement package. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he would look to improve insurance markets on the federal purchasing exchange with help from Democrats — and Ryan says he would not rule that out, while he’s not optimistic it would work, either.
