Reeseville Man Accused Of Injuring EMT During Overdose

(Reeseville) A Reeseville man is accused of biting a EMT who was resuscitating him during a heroin overdose. Joshua Pick is charged with one felony count of Battery To an Emergency Rescue Worker for the incident late last month in the Town of Portland. According to the criminal complaint, a Dodge County Sheriff’s deputy found Pick unresponsive on the floor and began CPR procedures. While he was being attended to, the 27-year-old allegedly grabbed the arm of an EMT worker and bit her causing bruising to her arm. When questioned, Pick reportedly said he was remorseful for his actions and did not know why he did it. A judge will decide in March if there is enough evidence to order a trial against Pick. If convicted, he faces a maximum prison sentence of six years.
