Randolph Man Arrested For OWI After Police Chase In Dump Truck

(Westford) A Randolph man was arrested for fifth offense Operating While Intoxicated Wednesday night after leading authorities on a high-speed chase in a dump truck. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of an incident involving Theodore Tamminga and a family member in the Town of Westford around 7pm. The 34-year-old allegedly left the scene in the dump truck, refusing to stop for the deputy. Tamminga allegedly then dumped gravel in the roadway in front of the squad car. He was eventually taken into custody after driving the dump truck into a field and getting stuck. Tamminga was transported to Beaver Dam Hospital where he was medically cleared before being taken to the Dodge County Jail. In addition to fifth offense OWI, he is facing charges of Fleeing an Officer, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction.
