Job Description
  This position is responsible for coordinating and assisting in the daily and weekly activities within the Quality / Lab area. This position must monitor specific areas of the Quality Department, assess process needs, and take appropriate steps to address the needs. The Class E Quality Team Leader must demonstrate leadership ability, exceptional interpersonal skills, clear oral and written communication skills, a strong working knowledge of plant production process policies, with a focus on safety and quality. This position must provide leadership for auditing the quality across the Beaver Dam facility, including coordination of Quality Programs and preparation of reports for State, Federal, Rabbinical and Operations Quality group. This employee must be flexible and able to work extended hours to provide plant coverage whenever necessary.

Primary Role and Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the plant personnel to ensure compliance for the following programs: Formulas & Manufacturing Procedures, Documentation, HACCP Sanitation, Weight Control and Manual reviews
Ensure that all daily tasks associated with milk, raw materials and finished product testing are accomplished in a timely manner.
Responsible for Measurements/Calibration validations, Hold and Release, Program Scheduling, design and coordinate projects and special research, schedule and direct Lab Analyst
Manage the Pest Control Program
Complete technical reports & recommendations
Manage the Hold/Release Program
Audit Testing procedures and communicate changes to Laboratory Technicians
Manage Culture Inventory and Scheduling
Maintain Lab equipment
Perform the job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner
Ensure the safety of all employees working in or around area of responsibility
Ensure the plant quality standards are observed at all times
Provide leadership, direction and assistance to employees in all phases of department work
Complete documentation and maintain records as required by Kraft Heinz standards
Address and resolve all issues within the area
Work with team members in department to assist in the continuous improvement process for the department
Maintain a working knowledge of all departmental positions
Provide training and direction to other team members as required based on business
Monitor process status and make all necessary communications for adequate resolution
Communicate and resolve shift emergencies when appropriate (i.e. call-ins, safety issues)
Communicate and pursue continuous improvement ideas/initiatives within the department
Assist in problem identification and resolution of departmental issues
Support all plant goals
Ability to provide feedback to fellow employees with follow-up concerns
Ensure accurate and timely communication to all employees, including participation in Green Room meetings and other communication channels as appropriate.
Active participation on corporate teams (ex. Catalyst, Quality Suite)
Active participation on plant teams (safety, quality, continuous improvement)
Involved with configuration in SAP and Quality Management Systems
Ensure compliance to all plant rules and policies
Communicate issues/concerns early to the supervisor and/or Department Manager
Champion of department team, processes, and improvement initiatives
Handle all issues in a consistent manner and within the guidelines of policies and procedures
Perform all observations and trainings timely
Support Plant Quality Systems
Perform all other duties as assigned
Must adhere to all Kraft Policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and follow internal Kraft Procedures
Responsible to follow FSQ requirements such as GMP’s and other daily job specific duties to support QRMP.
