(Beaver Dam) A local agency is looking for community support in raising items for those in need. QPS Employment Group and the United Way of Dodge County are teaming up for A Stuff the Truck food drive. During a recent appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment, Organizer Tara Klopotek said items such as peanut butter, cereal, canned fruit, tuna and hamburger helper, a wide-variety of beans and potatoes. Individuals who drop off a non-perishable food items will be entered into a prize drawing that is held every Friday. Winners will receive a summer fun bucket that includes two tickets to Mount Olympias. The food truck will be at Nancy’s Notions Thursday (7/25) from 10am to 7pm. On August 2 it will be at Centro’s in Beaver Dam from 1pm to 4pm, at Slumberland on August 9 from 10am to 4pm and on August 16 at Centro’s Horicon location from 1pm to 4pm. The last Stuff the Truck event will be on August 23 at JB Kenehan. Klopotek says the United Way of Dodge County will make sure all donated items are distributed to those in need at local food pantries.
