Probable Cause Found For Waupun Inmate To Head To Trial

(Waupun) An inmate at Waupun Correctional was in court for a preliminary hearing Thursday on charges that he beat a fellow prisoner unconscious. After testimony from a police detective and a positive identification by witnesses, a Dodge County judge found probable cause for Sir Jordan Cosby to proceed to trial. The 26-year-old allegedly punched the victim in the face with a closed fist. Then a second inmate reportedly kicked the individual in the face with the bottom of his boot. The victim was taken to Waupun Memorial Hospital where he was stabilized before being sent to UW Hospital in Madison for treatment. Cosby’s defense attorney’s raised questions about his competency and an evaluation was ordered.
