Possible Plans For Vacant Property Could Mean Hundreds Of Jobs

7/9/17 – No deals are signed, but some reports indicate Exact Sciences Corporation is considering an expansion to the vacant former Spectrum Brands property on Madison’s Rayovac Drive.  That location has been vacant for four years.  Exact Sciences says it is evaluating two properties.  It’s already in all or parts of three buildings at University Research Park.  It needs the space because demand for its Colo-guard D-N-A-based test for colorectal cancer is growing.  No specific numbers have been mentioned by the principals, but at least one broadcast report suggests the expansion could mean nearly one-thousand new jobs for the area.
