Police Shoot Runaway Steer In Campbellsport

(Campbellsport) Campbellsport Police and a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy had to shoot a big steer that busted loose from a meat processing service Tuesday morning. Police Chief Tom Dornbrook says the steer was wild and out of control. Officers waited until they had a chance to shoot at the steer when no houses were lined up behind it. Dornbrook says time was a factor because kids would soon be walking down those same streets on their way to school. No one was injured by the steer.
