(Beaver Dam) An annual women’s golf tournament is returning for a fourteenth year. The Pink Ribbon Classic will be held at the Hold Hickory Golf club on June 13. The event promotes breast cancer awareness and proceeds will go towards the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Organizer Laurie Klinger says this year’s guest speaker will be Doctor Mark Burkard who serves as Associate Professor of Medicine at the UW Carbone Cancer Center. The golf outing will feature silent auctions and awards will be given out. Pink Ribbon Classic Committee Member Shirley Kitchen says those interested can sponsor a hole for $150 and can be done in memory of a loved one. Registration begins at 10:30am and lunch will be served at 11. The golf kicks off with a shot gun start at noon and there will be dinner at around 5:45pm. Cost is $95 per player which includes a cart, prizes, hole events and table favors. Deadline to register is June 8. For more information call Kathy Foulkes at 920-887-7534.
