Pedestrian Seriously Injured By Fleeing Vehicle, Suspect Sought

(Town of Oak Grove) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a pickup truck that struck and seriously injured a pedestrian. The incident occurred at 7:18pm on County Road I near Highway 33 in the Town of Oak Grove. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says a 32-year-old Reeseville man was struck by a vehicle heading south on the county road. The victim was located in the ditch by another driver. He was transported to the Beaver Dam Community Hospital by Beaver Dam Paramedics and then taken by Flight For Life to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee with serious injuries. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian left the scene.  The sheriff’s office is still looking for that vehicle and driver. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white 2015 Ford F150 XL or similar.  The vehicle should have damage to the front end including what is believed to be the driver’s side head light.  If anyone has information on the crash, including the location of the truck or the identity of the driver, authorities ask that you contact the sheriff’s office and ask to speak with a patrol supervisor. The crash currently remains under investigation.  Assisting at the scene were Juneau Fire/EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
