Open House Saturday At James C. Laird Museum In Waupun

(Waupun) The public is welcomed to an open house today (Saturday) at the James C. Laird Museum in Waupun. Visitors will be able to see the Victorian area, late 1800 living, dinning and kitchen feature the first mayor of Waupun’s boyhood picture and Hanish family furniture. The open house will also feature vintage Christmas decorations from the 1960’s to the 1980’s. Included in the display are old city street decorations and a model rail road featuring the lost building of Waupun. There will also be activities for kids and Chris Nord will be giving a piano concert on a newly restored grand piano that is over 100 years old. Vintage cartoons and vinyl records will also be played. The open house gets underway at 1:30pm today at the James C. Laird Museum located at 520 McKinley Street in Waupun.
