(Reeseville) One person was injured in a barn fire near Reeseville Sunday night. Crews were dispatched to W10284 County Road I, southwest of the village, at 6:18pm. The caller reported smoke and flames visible with animals, machinery and hay in the building. Upon arrival, smoke was seen coming from the north side of a large dairy barn. Fire was found in an addition to the barn that housed a skid loader. A quick knock down was made by the first crew in and additional crews helped with the extensive overhaul to insure fire had not spread to the hay loft.
Fire damage was contained to the addition and 30 hay bales in the loft area. No fire personal were injure but one farm worker was transported from the scene to a local hospital for observation. No animals were injured. The fire scene was described as a sheet of ice. Fire units were on scene for about two hours.
