NOVEMBER 4TH – CANDY

Halloween Candy Bars

2 ¼ c. all-purpose flour

1 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened

¾ c. white sugar

¾ c. packed brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2 eggs

1 ½ c. chopped leftover candy bars, divided

Preheat oven to 350°. Coat a 9×13” baking dish with cooking spray. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, beat butter, sugars & vanilla until creamy. Beat in eggs; gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in 1 c. chopped candy; spread batter into prepared baking dish and sprinkle with remaining ½ c. chopped candy. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Makes 15-20 bars.
