Dutch Apple Pie
6 medium or 4 large apples, pared and sliced
½ c. sugar
1 unbaked pie shell
Dash of cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg
1 Tbsp. flour
Topping:
½ c. flour
Dash of cinnamon
½ c. sugar
½ c. butter
Combine apples with 1 Tbsp. flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir together and pat into pie shell. Combine topping ingredients. Place over apples. Place pie in brown paper bag. Close bag with staples or paper clips. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 425° for 1 hour. Split bag and let cool. *Keep bag from touching sides of oven during baking.
