(Beaver Dam) The Harvest Church in Beaver Dam will be hosting an informative event with the help of 5-Stones, a non-profit established for the purpose of raising awareness about the magnitude of sex trafficking in Wisconsin. The presentation titled “Not In Our Town! The Face of Trafficking in Rural Areas” will feature keynote speaker Assistant US Attorney Julie Pfluger, alongside a panel of experts including Dodge County District Attorney Kurt Klomberg, Beaver Dam Police Department Detective Heather Johnson, as well as human trafficking survivors turned advocates Morgan Meadows and Trish Propson.
5-Stones says they are invested in educating communities in order to increase awareness of human trafficking, decrease the demand for commercial sex, prevent victimization, and network with other organizations which fight against human trafficking. “Not In Our Town! The Face of Trafficking in Rural Areas” is open to the public with a suggested age of 13 and up for attendees. The event will be held November 8th at 6:30pm at the Harvest Church in Beaver Dam.
