No Injuries Reported As Fire Destroys Randolph Duplex

(Randolph) A weekend fire destroyed a duplex in Randolph. Crews responded to 121 Tamarack Street at 9:45pm Saturday to find flames visible from the second floor and attic. Fire Chief Ed Hoksbergen says the flames were knocked down in about five-to-ten minutes and most of the time was spent overhauling the structure with fire spreading quickly into the walls, roof and soffits.  There were no injuries. No one was at home at the time; a neighbor called 9-1-1. It is now known how many people were displaced. One unit was occupied, and someone was in the process of moving into the other unit and had already moved some belongings in. The residence estimated at $130-thousand dollars was a total loss. The cause of the fire has not been determined. The scene was cleared around 2am Sunday. Randolph Fire received mutual assistance from the Fox Lake Fire Department, Randolph Police, Randolph EMS, Alliant Energy, the Dodge County Emergency Response Team and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
