3/22/17 – The Dodge County Board has a new member. Kira Sheahan-Malloy was approved by the board last night to represent District 27, which consists of the First, Third and Fourth Wards in the city of Waupun. Sheahan-Malloy is taking the place of Michael Malloy, her husband, who left the position last February for an out-of-town job opportunity. Sheahan-Malloy says that her husband was positioned two and half hours away and he was not going to be able to be locally engaged. Sheahan-Malloy adds she will be free four days a week and can attend any meetings and get interested in what is going on in the area. This will be Sheahan-Malloy’s first political position. She has run bars and restaurants, has her certification in divorce and labor mediation, and she works for Wal-Mart in a quality control position. Her term is for one year and Sheahan-Malloy says if it all works out she will run next year.
