New Apartment Development Approved In Horicon

(Horicon) The Horicon Common Council Tuesday night approved a developer’s agreement with a company planning to build new apartments on the west side of the city. Christopher Slater with real estate developer Pre/3 says that they are constructing three, 12-family, market-rate buildings for a total of 36 units. Each building will have two-bedroom, 1100-square-foot apartments with private entrances, attached garages, washer-dryer and a variety of other residential amenities. The Brookfield-based Pre/3 manages around 14-thousand units statewide and currently has around 1000 units under construction in Wisconsin, including a complex that is proposed in Beaver Dam; those plans are before the Beaver Dam Plan Commission today. The developer also owns and operates the Nature View Apartments on Main Street in Horicon.  Ground is expected to be broken on the $2.5-to-$3-million-dollar project by year’s end with a targeted completion of 18-to-24 months, with each building opening in successive, staggered months.
