Muskego Man Sentenced For High Speed Chase In Dodge County

7/19/17 – A Muskego man was sentenced to nine months in jail yesterday for speeding away from a Dodge County Sheriff’s deputy. Cody Williams pled guilty to felony Fleeing or Eluding a Traffic Officer. The 25-year-old was clocked driving over the speed limit on County Trunk CW in the Town of Lebanon in February. The deputy tried to catch up to the suspect vehicle but the motorist fled at speeds in excess of 100mph and the pursuit was called off due to icy road conditions. A short time later, the deputy found the vehicle in a riverside parking lot. An intoxicated woman was found vomiting nearby. The deputy questioned her and she changed her story more than once resulting in her arrest for misdemeanor Obstruction. She said Williams was the driver and she met him in a bar that same night. Williams fled the scene but turned himself into Dodge County authorities the next day. He admitted to speeding saying he was on probation and not allowed to drink. Williams also said that he saw the squad car but not the lights because his windows were tinted. In addition to jail time, Williams was placed on probation for three years.
