Murder Trail Underway In Killing Of Sun Prairie Man

(Dane County) A Dane County homicide trial is underway. 59-year-old Daniel Lieske is accused of killing Jesse Faber of Sun Prairie a year ago near Marshall and hiding the body in a storage locker in Columbia County. Lieske has pleaded guilty to hiding a corpse but has not entered a plea to a count of first-degree murder. His attorney says Lieske client was being attacked when he shot the 21-year-old. Faber was shot seven times, five of the bullets hitting him in the back. Lieske’s attorney says the plan to hide Faber’s body in a Rio storage locker was a “monumental error in judgment.”
