Murder Suspect Pleads To Hiding Corpse In Rio, Jury Trail Still Scheduled

(Sun Prairie) The suspect accused of killing a Sun Prairie man and hiding his body in Columbia County pled guilty Wednesday to one of the charges he is facing. Daniel Lieske is charged in Dane County with First Degree Intentional Homicide and Hiding a Corpse in the death of Jesse Faber. Prosecutors say Lieske shot the 21-year-old five times and hid his body in Rio, about 30 miles from where he was last seen in Marshall. Lieske pleaded guilty to Hiding a Corpse Wednesday. A two-week jury trial is still scheduled to start on Monday for the Homicide charge. Once the trial is over, the 60-year-old will be sentenced based on his guilty plea and the outcome of that trial.
