(Beaver Dam) The Moraine Park Foundation’s Promise Program has met its fundraising goal. $1.2-million dollars was raised towards the campus’s free-tuition scholarship fund in thanks to area individuals, businesses and foundations. Of those who donated were the Agnesian Healthcare Foundation, the Bachhuber Foundation, The Beaver Dam Community Hospitals Foundation, Mayville Engineering Company, Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation, Horicon Bank and Rich Zieman. Moraine Park President Bonnie Baerwald says the generous support from the community validates the need for the promise program. She adds that his program serves as a promise that students will leave their campus ready to influence the local workforce with their knowledge. The Promise Program offers five consecutive semesters of free college tuition as well as additional services including mentoring, tutoring, career guidance and counseling services to low-income students.
