Milwaukee Man Charged In Dodge County Burglary

10/24/17 – Cash bond was set at $5,000 dollars Tuesday for a Milwaukee man who is charged in connection with a home break-in that took place in the township of Theresa. Iffendell Hutchenson made his initial appearance in Dodge County court yesterday on one felony charge of Burglary of a Building of Dwelling. In May, Hutchenson drove up to Dodge County along with an associate to receive money from a relative. According to the criminal complaint, they selected a house at random and stole several items. The two later crashed their vehicle into a ditch. A farmer who called police said he helped free them and said they reportedly appeared “doped up” at the time. In talking with investigators, Hutchenson denied any involvement with the break-in or being on drugs. Police later interviewed the associate who allegedly admitted to the crime and said he was the only one who entered the house while Hutchenson waited in the car. If convicted, the 36-year-old faces up to twelve-and-a-half years in prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 2.
