Mayville Teen Gets Disorderly Conduct Citation After School Shooting Post

(Mayville) Mayville Police and the Mayville School District have issued a joint statement saying there is no credibility to a “school shooters” threat. Police Chief Ryan Vossekuil says there were several high school students referred to as “school shooters” in social media posts. The matter was investigated and students involved were interviewed. Police did issue a disorderly conduct citation to a 17-year-old Mayville student. Vossekuil assures the community that there is no threat to public safety.
