Mayville Police Identify Victim In Weekend Stabbing Death

(Mayville) Authorities have released the name of the Mayville man who died after being stabbed over the weekend. Nicholas Drueke died after being taken to Aurora Summit Medical Center in Oconomowoc.

Mayville Police Chief Jim Ketchem says his department is working in conjunction with the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office, The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation and Dodge County District Attorney’s Office on the investigation.

Police were called to an apartment on the 1000 block of Horicon Street shortly after 6:30am Sunday morning where they found the 30-year-old Drueke lying on a couch with wounds to his abdomen and chest.

The homeowner was located in an upstairs bedroom. The 29-year-old had cuts to his hands and forearm area and was taken to Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Ketchem says the stabbing was in isolated incident. The Mayville Police Department was assisted by the Horicon Police Department, Mayville EMS, Theresa EMS, and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.
