Mayville To Honor Several People For Saving A Citizen

5/20/17 – On Monday, several individuals will be honored at Mayville City Hall for their actions which saved the life of a citizen. On April 10, several local residents noticed a woman lying on the ground in her front yard. The passerby’s noticed she was not breathing and her face was turning blue so they called 911 and began administering CPR, which both had previous training in. An off-duty EMT was in the area when he heard the page for emergency medical services. He responded to the scene and assisted with CPR. Mayville EMS arrived and transported the victim to the Beaver Dam Hospital. While en route, Mayville EMS was joined by paramedics from the Beaver Dam Fire Department and together continued the lifesaving efforts. The individual underwent additional treatment at a UW hospital and survived her cardiac event.
