(Mayville) Mayville residents may see a decrease in the mill rate for the city portion of their taxes. The proposed 2019 document calls for roughly $9.1-million dollars in total expenditures with a tax levy of $2.75-million which would be a $70-thousand dollar drop when compared the current budget The $8.70 tax rate would be 20-cents less than the number homeowners saw last December. Mayville Treasurer Greg Zipfel says the state has not yet finalized equalized property values. In 2017, property values saw a two-percent increase. Final budget adoption is slated for November 12.
