(Watertown) A Madison man who burglarized a Watertown residence was placed on probation for 18 months Wednesday. Donald Beran pled guilty to one felony count of Burglary along with two misdemeanor charges of Criminal Damage to Property and Disorderly Conduct. Beran entered into a deferred prosecution agreement, meaning he will avoid a felony record if he stays out of trouble while on probation. On December 22, the homeowner informed the Sheriff’s Office that Beran forced his way inside and started yelling and throwing things. When a deputy arrived, they noticed that the door jam, trim and hasp to the front door had damage and the homeowner said they were missing their address book.
