Lomira Man Killed In Single Vehicle Accident

2/2/17 – One person was killed in a single vehicle accident this morning in Lomira. The wreck occurred just after 2am on Richard Street near Maple Street. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a 25-year-old Lomira man was southbound on Richard Street when his SUV left the roadway, struck a snow bank and overturned. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in the crash which remains under investigation. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Lomira Fire and First Responders, Theresa EMS and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain.
