During off school days, school breaks and summers the teachers can work at the child care center at a 2nd pay rate.
The 4K DPI Teacher provides a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development by designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate 4K curriculum according to guidelines established by Kids Care and the Beaver Dam Unified School District. Before and/or after teaching 4K, this Teacher may work in the Infant/Toddler, Pre-school or School-Age classroom. The Teacher will review important decisions with his/her supervisor, maintain positive relationships with parents, children and coworkers and ensure safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting the physical demands of the position. Teachers must follow all state licensing regulations and maintain required continuing education requirements each year.
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education, current teaching license through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, a Certificate from The Registry indicating qualifications as a Child Care Teacher, Level 14 or above, and a minimum of one year child development work experience in a school, kindergarten or licensed child care center required. (One supervised student teaching practicum is equal to one year child development work experience.)
