3/15/17 – The city of Juneau is getting closer to finding their next Clerk Treasurer. Mayor Dan Wegener says they have been advertising the job and have received several applicants which Wegener adds will be reviewed with the personnel committee sometime today and will hopefully have a recommendation. If no one is selected the county will continue to advertise the opening. Wegener says it is a key position in the city and wants to get it filled as soon as possible, alluding it to the quarterback of a football team. The vacancy was made when Gladys McKay left to go work for the UW College system.
