Grilled Banana Split

2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar

¼ tsp. ground cinnamon

4 firm bananas (unpeeled)

1 pint vanilla ice cream

¼ c. pecans, toasted and roughly chopped

Heat grill to medium-high. In small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.

Cut bananas lengthwise and crosswise, leaving peel on. Lightly oil grill. Place bananas cut-side down on grill and cook until slightly charred, about 2 minutes. Using tongs, turn bananas, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture and cook until peels begin to separate from bananas, 2-3 minutes more. Discard peels from bananas. Divide bananas among bowls, top with ice cream and sprinkle with pecans. Yield: 4 servings.
