Inter-Quest Named Dodge County Blue Zones-Approved Worksite

11/14/17 – Another ribbon was cut Monday as part of the Dodge County Blue Zones Project. Inter-Quest in Beaver Dam has been named the newest Blue Zones-approved worksite. The community-wide, well-being improvement initiative is designed to make healthy choices easier through sustainable changes to environment, policy, and social networks. Inter-Quest added flavored sparkling water to the choices they offer to employees and has seen a noticeable decrease in the amount of soda consumed by employees in the last six months. The information technology and website design company also organized a walking group, called a Moai, to connect with other local downtown business owners and community members. Employees are encouraged to walk throughout the day by holding walking meetings and scheduling desk breaks. Half of the employees at Inter-Quest also utilize sit-to-stand desks. Additionally, owners Jeff Davidson and Bill Schwartz frequently cook Blue Zones-inspired meals for their staff for monthly meetings and special events.  For details about becoming a Blue Zones Project Approved organization or general information about Blue Zones Project, Dodge County, call 920-212-8511, or visit dodgecounty.bluezonesproject.com.
