Inmate From Beaver Dam Dies At Dane County Jail

(Madison) The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed an autopsy on the body of an inmate from Beaver Dam who died Wednesday morning. 29-year-old James Borck Jr. was being held at the Dane County Jail’s Public Safety Building after his arrest for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, fourth offense. Borck had been involved in a traffic accident shortly after 9 P-M on Tuesday.  A 28-year-old woman passenger in his car and a 41-year-old woman in the car he hit were both hospitalized.  The autopsy suggests there was no evidence of significant inflicted external trauma in the inmate’s death. Additional testing has been ordered. Dane County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Kerry Porter says Borck’s behavior was consistent with a drug overdose, although a toxicology report has yet to be completed.
