(Waupun) A public informational meeting will be held this week in Waupun for planned improvements to Madison Street. The proposed project includes the reconstruction of the existing roadway with an urban roadway section along with curb and gutter, bike lanes, sidewalk, storm and sanitary sewers and water main. Driveways, service walks and lawn areas will be removed and replaced as necessary to accommodate construction. The project, which is currently slated to begin sometime in 2019, begins 50-feet south of the intersection of Doty Street and extends north to the bridge crossing the South Branch of the Rock River. The city has applied for funding from the state for a portion for the work, if granted, construction from the Waupun Utilities facility to Lincoln Street may be delayed. The public meeting will be held Wednesday at the Waupun Public Library beginning at 5:30pm and will end around 7pm.
