Inez C. Hemling

Inez C. Hemling, 89 years, of rural Beaver Dam went home to her Savior on Monday, November 6, 2017.

Inez was born on January 23, 1928 the daughter of Richard and Minnie (Schumann) Schwandt in the township of Beaver Dam. She was married to William J. Hemling on September 14, 1947 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Inez was a faithful lifelong member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, belonging to the Ladies Aid, Mission Aid and Friendship League. She also sang in the choir for over 65 years.  She farmed with her husband in the township of Westford.  Inez enjoyed her flower beds and gardening.  She had been a CNA for over 25 years at BDCH and the former Lutheran Hospital.

Inez is survived by her three children: Susan Luckow, James (Harlo) Hemling and William R. (Diane) Hemling all of Beaver Dam.  She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Angela (Brad) Woerishofer, Matthew (Erika) Luckow, Amy (Dylan) Bolin, Victoria (Rob) Orth, Virginia (Tom) Ruhland, Thomas (Melissa) Cigelske, Timothy (Sandra) Hemling, Amanda (Rick) Springstroh, William C. (Michelle) Hemling and Nicholas (Melissa) Hemling.  She was loved and will be missed by her 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  She is further survived by her brother-in-law Ray Uttech of Beaver Dam and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William in 2008, son-in-law Roger Luckow, her infant granddaughter Sarah Hemling, sisters, Bernice Schutte and Dorothy Griebenow, brothers, Richard Schwandt and Howard Schwandt and her sister-in-law Sylvia Uttech.

Visitation for Inez will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam on Sunday, November 12th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 13th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Philip Heyer officiating.  Entombment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton, Wisconsin.
