Horicon Police Officer Recognized For Prolonging Life Of A Citizen

(Horicon) The Horicon Police Department recently recognized an officer for prolonging the life of a local citizen so they could say goodbye to family. On the afternoon of November 8, Chief Joe Adamson says a man was helping his wife into her hospice bed at home when he suddenly became ill. Adamson says the man had difficulty breathing and Officer Jacobo Delgado soon realized he was not breathing at all. Delgado began CPR procedure and notified the nearby railroad workers to make sure there was clearance for the ambulance. Adamson says Delgado’s efforts were able to save the 63-year-old man’s life long enough so family could have closure. The man passed away just a week after the incident. Delgado was presented with a Life Saving Medal.
