Horicon Bird Club To Hold Seminar On Winter Birds

(Horicon) The Horicon Marsh Bird Club is inviting the public to a free seminar on how small birds survive sub-zero temperatures. Dr. Sheldon Cooper of UW-Oshkosh will discuss the number of changes that winter birds undergo to survive the short days and long nights. He has worked in the Department of Biology at the campus since 2001 and has done numerous bird related presentations across the Oshkosh area. The event will be held on January 18 beginning at 7pm at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center located on N7725, between Horicon and Mayville on Highway 28.
