Holiday Activities Planned Throughout Beaver Dam Today

12/2/17 – A number of seasonal happenings are planned Saturday in Beaver Dam. The Dodge County Historical Society is again holding their open house, inviting the public to revel in local history with their special holiday displays while enjoying hot cocoa from 1pm until 7pm. The Chamber of Commerce Holiday Open House will offer free hot chocolate, hot cider and cookies in the old depot on South Spring Street beginning at 2pm.  The Chamber event wraps up at 5:15pm when Mayor Becky Glewen lights the Christmas Tree in front of the Chamber. The annual Holiday Parade gets underway at 5:30pm. The parade is organized by Downtown Beaver Dam Inc. and will be broadcast on AM1430 WBEV starting at 5pm. The theme this year is “Light Up the Holidays.” An After Party will be held at the Watermark on South Center Street where the winners will be announced. Judging will take place on December 15 and the winner will be announced on WBEV-WXRO on Friday, December 22 with prizes awarded for first, second and third place.
