High Court Schedules Dassey Conference For Thursday

(Washington) The U-S Supreme Court will discuss the Brendan Dassey murder case during a Thursday conference. Dassey is serving a life sentence for his role in the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach in Manitowoc County. Dassey’s case was headed for discussion last week, but that conference was delayed by the court without explanation. His attorneys say investigators used improper techniques while questioning a juvenile with a low I-Q. A federal judge ruled his confession was involuntary under the U-S Constitution, then an appeals court overturned that decision. Dassey’s attorneys want the Supreme Court to review the appeals court ruling.
