Heavy Fog Factor In Columbia County Crash

7/12/17 – Heavy fog and limited visibility are believed to be contributing factors in a two-vehicle crash in the Columbia County Town of Arlington yesterday morning. A 45-year-old Madison man was driving a semi-truck on Goose Pond Road when he pulled out from a stop sign and collided with a vehicle operated by a 29-year-old Poynette woman. The semi driver exited his vehicle to warn oncoming traffic and he was struck by a Jeep operated by a 25-year-old Madison man. The injuries were serious but do not appear to be life-threatening. The Poynette woman sustained minor injuries in the crash. The incident is under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
