Hartford Man Waives Prelim To Assault Charge

4/7/17 – A Hartford man accused of molesting a young teen runaway was bound over for trial Thursday after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing. Bryce Goecks allegedly assaulted the middle-school-aged girl last August at his residence after supplying her with alcohol. The two met after the teen called a wrong number and the two engaged in conversation months later. The 20-year-old Goecks told investigators that he was under the impression that she was 17-years-old.  If convicted on the felony count of Sexual Assault of a Child Under 16 Years Of Age, Goecks would face a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison. An arraignment hearing is scheduled next month.
