Ground To Be Broken Next Week On New Beaver Dam Apartment Complex

(Beaver Dam) Ground is expected to be broken early next month on a new housing complex in Beaver Dam. The development will be located along Seippel Boulevard and Mary Ann Road. John Maas is with JMM Consulting of Green Bay, a contractor for Premier Real Estate of Brookfield, the same company building a new apartment complex on the west side of Horicon. Maas says five, 12-unit buildings are being constructed with a total of 60 market-rate, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments. The grounds will include an on-site office manager. The style will be similar to a 24-unit apartment complex on Baker Boulevard in Beaver Dam built three years ago. The general contractor is Nicolet Lumber Company of Green Bay while the earth work and utility contractor is Town and Country of Mayville. The city’s Plan Commission Wednesday approved site plans for the project. Because the developer is not seeking any incentives from the city no further approvals are needed. While the project will not be receiving any municipal tax breaks, the complex will be constructed in what is expected to be the new TIF District #8 and is projected to bring a minimum of $4.5-million dollars in value to the district.  Three apartments will be available to rent as early as the spring with the final two ready for occupancy in the fall.
