Grothman Discusses Bill To Combat Sex Trafficking On WBEV

(Beaver Dam) Congressman Glenn Grothman discussed efforts being undertaken at the capital to curb human trafficking when he joined us in the studio Tuesday on WBEV’s Community Comment. Grothman says it is not uncommon for sex-traffickers to get someone hooked on drugs and then make them work to continue getting those drugs. The bill that is being floated would make giving or supplying drugs to someone illegal. Grothman is cautiously optimistic that the legislation will gain bi-partisan support. He says part of the answer is also to educate the public about the signs of sex trafficking and warn youth about the trappings laid by predators who hope to lure young people into a life of forced prostitution.
