(Beaver Dam) A local non-profit is in the midst of its annual appeal. Green Valley Enterprises, which is celebrating their 50th year, is a multi-faceted agency that works with hundreds of families offering, among other things, early childhood development programs, adult daycare, prevocational training and other work-related services. Executive Director Brian Jacobson says they are looking for dollars or donations to replace tables and chairs. He says many chairs have been re-welded or glued two or three times just to keep them together. During last week’s appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment, Jacobson said the Beaver Dam based organization is looking to raise close to $10,000. He added their furnishings need to be safe and stable for those who may have trouble balancing. The appeal began in November and Jacobson says they hope to hit their target number by the end of this month or by early next year. Jacobson says all checks can be made out to Green Valley Enterprises and can be dropped off at 1223 Madison Street in Beaver Dam. Visit www.greenvalleyinc.org for more information.
