Governor Requests Federal Funds After $37M Storm Damage Assessment

(Madison) Wisconsin storm damage assessments from FEMA exceed 37-million dollars, leading Governor Scott Walker to request a federal disaster declaration.  The request made yesterday (Thursday) is for both public assistance and individual assistance from the federal government. It was learned earlier this week that Dodge County would not be eligible for public infrastructure damages from tornados in August. Teams from FEMA were in the areas impacted by the August and September severe storms last week.  The review determined 370 private homes were destroyed or suffered major damage.
