Global Fair Returns To Wayland Academy Saturday

(Beaver Dam) An event that highlights diversity in Dodge County is returning to Beaver Dam Saturday.  Wayland Academy, which is home to high school students from around the world, is hosting a ‘Global Fair’ for a third straight year in conjunction with the Beaver Dam Community Library. The library’s Anita Streich says the event is a great opportunity for the community to come together as one. The event will feature food, music, dancing, clothing, and literature from close to 30 different countries across the globe. Streich told us on WBEV’s Community Comment that the Lion Dancers from a Kung-Fu association out of Madison will again attend this year’s fair. Streich says the St. Katherine Drexel dance troupe will also perform Mexican-inspired routines. The ‘Global Fair’ is scheduled from 1pm to 4pm.
