(Beaver Dam) There will be a Girls Scout cookie sale this weekend to help repair a local structure. All proceeds from the event will go towards updating the Beaver Dam Girl Scout House which can also be used by community members for birthday parties, baptisms, summer park gatherings and recreational classes. A few of the repairs include fixing the water bottle/drinking fountain, repairing the front sign and purchasing a new dry erase board. The fundraising goal is $1,500. The Girl Scouts participating will also be earning their Silver Award which is the highest accolade a Cadette Girl Scout can earn and the second highest award outside the Gold Award. The cookie sale will take place Friday from 1pm to 7pm and Saturday from 11:30am to 5:30pm on the corner of Haskell and La Crosse Street across from the Lake Days entrance.
